//Where We Wander//

Whoever you are, no matter how lonely,
the world offers itself to your imagination,
calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting
over and over announcing your place
in the family of things.

Dream Work by Mary Oliver

We had but a moment, so I don't know if this truly fits under the "Where We Wander" series, however it's more than a question of time.  I did not feel as if we were wandering, but I felt at home within the walls of these cliffs.  There was a peaceful solitude, meant for our family.  I saw my giddy two year old ebb and flow with the waves- challenging our commands to stay close.  Yet, he never pushed it too far and instead played a game of delight.  I love how we had but a moment, but I'll always remember this moment.  And then, somehow, these short moments of clarity evolve into the sweet memories of our youth.  They are short but their touch is always remembered.

I am so thankful to my husband for his perfect suggestions and climbing down huge cliffs to spend a few precious moments with his family before heading off to work.  I am so incredibly grateful for the beauty of family.

  1. Danielle, this place is magical. Dont ever move! Lovely photos. If I were you I'd blow up that that first one wall size and put it in my house. <3

    1. I won't move, but that means you guys need to visit sometime! pretty please! :) <3

  2. Lovely photos. Would you mind saying what kind of ring sling that is? I've been hunting for one just like it.

    1. Of course! It's a sakura bloom sling! They have both linen and silk slings. They are my absolutely favorite!
