//Where We Wander//

"This morning
the beautiful white heron
was floating along above the water.

and then into the sky of this
the one world
we all belong to

where everything
sooner or later
is a part of everything else

which thought made me feel
for a little while
quite beautiful myself."

Mary Oliver "Poem of the One World"

We retrace our own steps often.  We take the same walks.  Yet, the landscape is always changing.  We are always changing.  (I am not the same as I was yesterday.  Today, the boys did something new.  My husband's voice is sweeter.)  These wanderings lead us to the same places, although with different routes.  I see my footprints of another day and I am comforted.
